Christmas Campaign 2025 – Hope for Children with Disabilities in Zaporizhzhia

Project Description:

We support families with children with disabilities in Zaporizhzhia – only 50 kilometers from the front line. By providing essential equipment, medications, and developmental toys, we aim to ease their difficult situation. The project is funded through our workshops called “Christmas Baubles for a Good Cause.”

Why is this project necessary?

Children with disabilities are among the most affected by the war in Ukraine. Many are bedridden or have limited mobility, and their circumstances have become even more challenging under wartime conditions. When air raid sirens sound, they are often unable to reach shelters in time – and in many cases, safe shelters are not even available.

Power outages mean elevators don’t work, posing a serious problem for families living on upper floors with children who cannot walk. At the same time, a lack of teachers makes regular education at home nearly impossible. As a result, education, development, and social inclusion remain out of reach for many of these children.

In addition, the psychological strain is immense. Sirens, explosions, and the constant threat of attack leave deep emotional scars – both on the children and their families. Our Christmas campaign brings concrete help into this difficult reality: vital supplies, but also attention, care, and hope. Especially in times of war, it is crucial to send a message: These children are not forgotten.
